To sum up, there’s a lot to like about China. It is quickly overtaking the US and other developed countries in many areas.
As a Pakistani, I think I am more eligible to answer this question as you may know that we Pakistanis have a known affection for China.
Respect - Chinese government or people do not interfere in your country’s internal affairs unlike the Western countries.
Keep Quiet - Chinese government and their people are very humble. We all know how much they have advanced in the last few decades and they take pride in that but they do not tout that pride to others. They are just moving ahead.
Take along - China has never kept their progress into their own-self. They are very much involved in regional countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Iran, and even India (huge investment).
The country - China has much to offer you, be it ethnicity, diversity, mind boggling landscapes, mountains, greenery and of course Wall of China and lots of Dragons.
Extremely safe - you never have to worry about violent or confrontational crimes on the street - everyone I know feels perfectly safe walking anywhere in the city at any time of day or night.
For a city the size of Shanghai, it’s really impressive to see how clean and organized it is. Nice parks around the city with amazing landscaping, clean and wide sidewalks, bike/scooter dedicated lanes on the streets. The public bathrooms are much better than you’d expect.
Delivery services - Last year my phone broke and a Chinese colleague ordered me a new Xiaomi phone while we were at work at 10am, and it arrived in the office around 1pm, free delivery.
A huge place with a long, fascinating history, relatively safe and economical to explore, great food, rising standard of living...
Finally, I also have to say that outside of China, most people don’t really like it, because it’s just so different, and they just don’t know much about it.
I love the street food, so cheap, so good.
I love the differences in the cities. Some are industrial, some business centers, some historical, some touristy, China has it all.
I love the fact that the buses, motorcycles, trains and airfare is either economical or cheap.
Most of all, I love the people. I qualify to be called a senior citizen. In China older people are respected. People will offer me their seats on a bus. I have found Chinese people to be very friendly usually offering to come over their house for dinner or some other form of activity such as karaoke, spa/massage or dancing.
Here is my suggestion to all the people that have this question. Plan your next vacation to travel to China.
